A woman suffered a broken leg along with facial injuries after she was allegedly assaulted by a group of people in Chesterfield.

Derbyshire police are investigating the assault which is claimed to have taken place in Holmewood.

A woman in her 20s was allegedly attacked by a group of people in Hunloke Road – after being assaulted in the rear car park of the Miner’s Welfare in Health Road less than an hour before.

The assaults which left the woman with a ‘badly broken leg’ according to officers, along with injuries to her face, are believed to have taken place between 11.45pm on Sunday, July 3 and 12.25am on Monday, July 4.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time – particularly those with CCTV that covers the Miner’s Welfare and Hunloke Road.
