Under 12 Girls involved in an entertaining game at Gosforth Fields
Neither side took a backward step all game
Dronfield & Dinnington mixed U12’s Girls team had a fantastic game at home against Long Eaton. In the drizzle the rugby was fast, aggressive, competitive at the breakdown and at times a little chaotic but was great fun to watch.

Long Eaton scored most tries in the first quarter, but the girls soon sorted themselves out and ran in several of their own.
That was the pattern of the match with both sides adjusting to each other and the game ebbing and flowing. The tries were shared around the team as neither side took a backward step all game and the real winners were the spectators who got to watch an entertaining game of rugby.
When the match finished, immediately all the girls from both sides socialised and some new friends were made.

Huge credit to both teams, playing hard and magnificently in the spirit of the game of rugby. Players of the game awards to Elizabeth B, Sienna M and Annie B along with Long Eaton’s vote for Pip. Next up a fixture at Dinnington against West Park Leeds
