Latest results from the Chesterfield and District Sunday League
Tyrone Macaskill produced a man-of-the-match and match-winning display for his Tibshelf Seniors side, hitting a superb hat trick against ten man Langwith White Star in HKL ONE.

Kieran Grant had scored for White Star before John Jennings was red carded on fifty-six minutes and Seniors took full advantage of their numerical advantage to record a 3-1 win that moves them level with leaders Eyam on points with a game in hand.
Brampton Rovers moved up to third as two Nico Degirolamo goals plus a third from Sam Finlaw saw them ease pass Bolsover Town Seniors by the odd goal in five, Josh Nicholls and Leo Rimmer scoring for Town.

Clowne Comets and Rangers played out a high scoring ten goal game in HKL TWO as Comets won to go top of the table, one of three teams to have accrued twelve points to date in doing so. The game was dominated by Jacob Owen who grabbed himself a magnificent five goal haul as Owen Lester and substitute Evan Wood joined him on the score sheet with Trystan Brown and Sam Fairborn amongst the goals for Rangers.

John Pye ramped up the pressure on bottom side Whitwell in HKL THREE, hammering them 7-0 to leave them with just one win in their opening seven games. Second bottom Green Utd faired no better as All Inn beat them 4-2 leaving them with just one win in seven starts. Newbold closed the gap on leaders Tupton to two points following an emphatic 6-2 win over Royal Oak Coal Aston although they have played a game more.
HKL FOUR leaders Renishaw dropped points for the first time this season as they drew a high scoring game with third placed Tupton Tap. Renishaw had conceded ten goals in their opening four games but in this game they conceded half of that amount to share the spoils with Tap for whom Freddie Norris scored two, Charlie Mitchell, Jenson Parker and substitute Max Hunt adding one each.
Second placed Spartans also had to settle for a draw as goals from Joel Cryans, Jordan Lee-McDonald and Ellis Otter saw them share the points with hosts Creswell Comrades in a 3-3 draw.
Glapwell Gladiators were beaten 3-2 by Tibshelf Community whilst Staveley Town overturned a two goal disadvantage to beat opponents Barlow 3-2. Town started slowly and were punished as Jack Mellor hit a superb opener for Barlow from distance and it was 2-0 minutes later as Dean Webster-Smith added a second from the penalty spot to add to Town’s concerns.
Town were then awarded a penalty of their own which Noah Glover converted before drawing Town level before the break. In a lacklustre second half the next goal always looked likely to be the winner and it proved to be as centre-back Joe Cooper was the unlikely match-winner scoring his first ever goal and Town’s third of the game.
In a massive game in HKL FIVE the top two met in what turned out to be a surprisingly one sided affair as leaders Creswell Black Diamond prevailed 6-0. John Mcardle, Luke Clarke, Andy Thompson, Dan Murdoch, Jayden Hemmings and an own goal accounting for Holmewood. Black Diamond now have a six point advantage over Holmewood who slipped to third place, Courage Development’s 4-1 win over Wingfield White Hart moving them up to second five points off the top.
Elmton Elm Tree had a good day beating Spire 5-1, Spires fifth defeat in a season that has seen them score just three goals so far.
There were just two games in HKL SIX, one of them being won by Carr Vale by the odd goal in seven, Tibshelf Community narrowly missing out whilst in the other game Chesterfield Club Reserves picked up just their second point of the season in a 1-1 draw with Spartans Reserves.
In the Sunday Championship Cup an all HKL TWO tie pitted Mutton against Bakewell Town and a nail biting encounter was decided via a penalty shoot out. Tied at 3-3, Lucas Owen scoring twice for Mutton, Mackenzie Millan once, Joel Holland twice and Chris Hooper once in normal time for Town it was the former who won the shoot out 3-0.
HKL THREE table toppers Tupton visited Pilsley Community Development and were ahead after twenty minutes thanks to Matt Bower’ smart finish. Jake Brock doubled the advantage five minutes from half time as Neo Batty made it 3-0 after fifty-five.
However Pilsley were by no means finished and reduced the lead to a single goal as firstly Shane Marriott made it 1-3 on the hour mark and substitute Denny Bush 2-3 four minutes later. However their optimism was short lived as five minutes later Neo Batty made it 4-2, Jordan Burrow 5-2 on the eighty minutes to seal the win for Tupton.
