This first major tour in more than five years will see the star perform much-loved hits spanning his entire repertoire.
David will now be performing at Sheffield City Hall on September 8 and Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on September 24. He said: “I've had so many requests to tour again, so I’ve decided to do one more tour. I'm looking forward to touring the UK again, it should be fun.”
Tickets for his original dates in Nottingham on October 7 and Sheffield on October 16 this year remain valid for the new dates.
The only artist in the world to achieve success in all areas of entertainment, David shot to fame when he auditioned for the London production of the musical Godspell.
He written, recorded and produced albums that have sold millions of copies worldwide. His 23 top 30 singles include the chart-topping Rock On which hit number one on both sides of the Atlantic and earned him a Grammy nomination, Lamplight, Hold Me Close and Gonna Make You A Star.
Acting credits include the films That'll Be The Day and its sequel Stardust, Traveller, The Guvnors, Black Prince and appearances on EastEnders as the head of the Moon family. Theatre credits include roles in Evita, Boogie Nights 2, ELF!, Footloose, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Aspects Of Love, plus his own musicals Mutiny! and All The Fun Of The Fair.
David has also written a bestselling poetry book Travelling Tinker Man & Other Rhymes plus two successful autobiographies A Charmed Life and Over The Moon, the latter a topping the Sunday Times bestseller list.
