'We can't wait to see Chesterfield on the dancefloor' - Rise & Rave partners on early morning Sunday event
Wellbeing business owner and former Miss Pole Dance UK champion teams up with sound healer and yoga instructor to bring people together through dancing and music.
Two mums who are wellbeing practitioners are inviting people to forget late nights and hangovers and swap a Sunday morning lie-in for dancing and drinking coffee.
Lorna Walker and Amy Autumn will wake up Chesterfield with their Rise & Rave event which they are bringing to Bottle & Thyme on Sunday, November 29 at 7.30am.
Lorna is the owner of successful Chesterfield-based wellbeing business Dakini, a former Miss Pole Dance UK champion, a 500-hour trauma-informed yoga tacher, somatic healing facilitator and public speaker. With nearly two decades of experience in movement and wellbeing, she has seen first-hand the positive impact that music, movement and community can have on people’s lives.
Her business partner, Amy, is an established sound healer and yoga instructor who regularly hosts sell-out monthly sound bath experiences in Sheffield. Through her work, Amy has built a thriving community of people seeking relaxation, connnection and opportunities to prioritise their wellbeing.

Both Lorna, 38, and Amy, 41, are solo mums who understand the demands of juggling family life, work and everything in between. They believe that making time for joy, friendship and fun shouldn’t have to mean sacrificing the following day to a hangover.
They launched their business Awake & Liberate to bring people together through movement, music and meaningful human connection. Rise & Rave is about creating opportunities for people to have fun and feel part of something.

Lorna said: “Coffee raves might be having a moment, but dancing together is something humans have been doing for thousands of years. Music, movement and connection can have such a positive impact on our mood and wellbeing.
“We wanted to create something that brings a bit more joy into people’s lives. Somewhere you can let your hair down, have a proper dance, meet new people and still have the whole Sunday ahead of you.
“You don’t have to be into yoga, wellness or anything spiritual. You don’t even have to be a good dancer! You can come for the novelty, for the music, for the connection, or simply because you fancy doing something different.”
The alcohol-free event, which includes live music and a DJ playing Ibiza classics and old school anthems, is designed to be welcoming to everyone, whether they arrive with friends or come along solo.
Amy and Lorna said: ““Whether you’re coming for the music, the coffee, the company or just because you fancy a rave at 7.30 in the morning, everyone’s welcome. We can’t wait to see Chesterfield on the dancefloor.
“We both absolutely love what we do, but we also love a good dance, a laugh and being around people who just want to enjoy themselves.”
The pair hope that Rise & Rave will become a regular event. For more information and ticket details, visit Awake & Liberate on Instagram: @awakeandliberate_
