The team at the helm of the Three Horseshoes in Brimington have taken on the former Katie’s Sandwich Bar on High Street – rebranding it as Cobs and Cakes.
The Derbyshire Times was invited to learn more about the revamped shop – and these photos offer a glimpse inside.

2. New venture for pub landlords
Will said: “Things have been going really at the Three Horseshoes over the last few months. Katie's Sandwich Bar has been a familiar, family-owned business in the heart of Brimington for the past seven years. With the previous owners deciding it was time to move on, we saw a fantastic opportunity to take over a well-known local shop, invest in its future and bring something fresh and exciting to the village.” Photo: Brian Eyre

3. Passion for the business
Will said: “Rob, my other half, is very passionate about baking and cooking - he loves making pies and things like that. The opportunity came up and he’s always wanted something like this, so we went for it. We know what this place means to the community too.” Photo: Brian Eyre

4. “Complete transformation”
Will said: “We purchased the business and gave the shop a complete transformation in 24 hours, both inside and out. We turned what was once a traditional sandwich shop into a fresh, modern sandwich deli - while keeping that friendly, welcoming atmosphere that makes a local community shop so special.” Photo: Brian Eyre
