Funeral directors Harold Lilleker and Sons have released details of Ernie’s final journey ahead of the procession through Chesterfield and a significant number of fans, supporters and residents gathered at the Technique Stadium to pay their respects.

His funeral service then took place at Chesterfield Crematorium.

The procession first completed a lap of honour, with fans and supporters waiting in the car park to give Ernie a round of applause as he makes his final journey.
