Members of a 3,500-strong group that celebrates the town in years gone by voted Pisces as Chesterfield’s most popular late-night eatery.
Crowds would line up inside the Holywell Street institution every Friday and Saturday night to purchase the takeaway’s popular ‘Pisces Special’ – a concoction of mashed potato and cheese that became synonymous with the business for three decades.

Neil said: “We were amazed at the amount of interest there was in our poll – hundreds entered. But there was no doubt about the winner – Pisces won hands down.
"It’s just a shame the takeaway isn’t with us anymore to help us celebrate.”
Other takeaways voted for include Chatanooga; ‘Scran Van Acca’, a mobile food van that used to stand outside the Aquarius nightclub in the ‘80s and early ‘90s; Tuminose and Rice Bowl.

David Hayes posted: “Did anyone ever manage to finish a Pisces Special? You'd always find foil trays with their contents half eaten littered about the streets the next day.”
Joanne McShane said: “Does anyone have the recipie for a Pisces Special? Mind I never tried one when I was sober.”
