Chesterfield man ‘flattered’ by response to his NHS hedge tribute

A Chesterfield man who created a wonderful tribute to the NHS in his hedge has said he is ‘flattered’ by the response it has received.

Graham Flint trimmed the hedge to say ‘NHS’ with a rainbow over the Highfield View Road sign.

A picture of the tribute was posted on Facebook and has so far been shared nearly 350 times and attracted almost 7,000 likes

Graham, 41, said: “I’m flattered people like it.

“It seems to have made a lot of people smile in these dark times.

“It’s a tribute to our amazing NHS and key workers – and of course I’ll be keeping it there.”

Danny Banner, who put the picture on Facebook, described the man behind the tribute as a ‘legend’.

Jean Lish commented: “That is so lovely.”

Joanna Howgate said: “We can’t thank the NHS enough. They are our angels.”
