Major Derbyshire road closed after serious collision

Derbyshire Police say the incident has taken place on the northbound carriageway of the A38 between the A61 Little Eaton junction and the A610 Ripley exit.

Officers fron the force’s roads policing unit say the carriageway will remain closed for most of the night to allow for a full investigation to take place.

No details of the vehicles involved or any casualties have yet been released.
