Police swoop on drug driver in Chesterfield

A drug driver who was also found to have no licence or insurance was arrested by police in Chesterfield.

The motorist was stopped by Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit in on the A619 in Brimington last night (Tuesday, February 9).

A spokesperson for the unit said: “Stopped to find within 30 seconds that the driver has no licence, no insurance and has used drugs.”

The driver failed to provide a blood sample and was arrested before their vehicle was seized by officers.
