Roadside Technologies workers have been hailed as ‘heroes’ after installing a huge message sign, normally seen on motorways, at the Calow hospital.

It urges people to ‘Catch it! Bin it! Kill it!’, ‘Wash your hands – stop spread of the coronavirus’ and lists the symptoms of Covid-19 to discourage anyone with a fever or persistent dry cough from entering the site.

The hospital posted on Facebook: “Local heroes Roadside Technologies have pulled out all the stops to help us to promote key messages about Coronavirus (COVID-19).

“Director at the Duckmanton-based company Chris Moseley and colleagues helped our communications team to say it LARGE!

“This message sign now has pride of place on our driveway - providing anyone coming on site with a rolling set of reminders. Another fabulous example of community support during this unprecedented time.”

The company said: “ We hope people read it and don’t go in the hospital if they are displaying symptoms. We’re only going to get through this by following the advice of the NHS.”
