Drummer to the stars Terl Bryant tours live show of music and tales from his career to Chesterfield
“What incredible adventures there have been, and not always what you’d expect.”
A drummer and percussionist who has recorded with international stars will showcase his musical talent and share tales from his career in a presentation in Chesterfield.

Terl Bryant has 150+ major label credits and more than 20million worldwide sales, with artists including John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Barry Gibb, Faith Hill, Shirley Bassey and Steeleye Span.
He is currently touring with Martin Barre (Jethro Tull) and leading the Voice of Drums initiative which works to inspire change through education, rhythm, music and storytelling.
Teri visits Chesterfield’s Real Time Live on Wednesday, November 4 with a live show titled A Life in Rhythm which combines drumming, music and stories from his career.
He said: “I grew up in a beautiful part of the UK, in a small village in Northamptonshire called Walgrave. I was blessed with two loving, if mildly eccentric, parents and three sisters. The thing is, we weren’t a musical family, although music was often present, largely thanks to my father. He loved collecting records and having his music on loud in the car. That was my connection.
“My mother, on the other hand, enjoyed music too, but wasn’t 'musical' per se. I sometimes tell the story of how, as a small boy, she would try to sing me to sleep. However, I remember one time actually asking her to leave the room so that I could go to sleep!
“But what a journey it’s been. From falling in love with the little snare drum in Mrs Horn's cupboard (she was my junior school music teacher) to touring the world with some incredible, legendary artists and musicians, and travelling to share the wonders of rhythm through the Voice of Drums initiative.
“What incredible adventures there've been, and not always what you'd expect. There was, the occasion when I spent an entire recording session being called ‘dog poo boy’ while desperately trying to make a good impression. You can, of course, hear more behind-the-scenes stories and watch me drumming to some of the fabulous tracks I've worked on, if you come along to A Life in Rhythm solo show.”
Tickets cost £11, available from https://realtimelive.co.uk/event-listings.
