Spireites put their faith in England to bring it home
IT’S coming home...that’s the consensus from the Chesterfield camp as England prepare to get their World Cup 2026 campaign underway.
The club asked players and coaching staff who would come out on top in America, Mexico and Canada and out of the 17 questioned more than half plumped for Thomas Tuchel’s boys.
There were four votes for France, three for Portugal and, surprisingly only one for Spain and a tongue-in-cheek choice for Haiti from striker Lee Bonis
Reigning champs Argentina, Lionel Messi and all, didn’t even get a mention and neither did the Brazilians.

Here were the answers and brief comments:

Zach Hemming: Got to go with England. Can’t go anyone else.
