GOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!! 0-1
Jack Clarke pounces on an error by Bromley’s Bush, he drives forward and blasts it into the top corner on his left boot. Emphatic finish. 0-1. GET IN!!!!
Chance!
Carline goes close again as he meets Maguire’s deep cross from the left at the back post but Cousins was equal to it. Good start from the Blues.
Bromley’s Mitchell blocks Carline’s back-post volley off the line! It was Taylor again with a delightful cross.
HT thoughts from fan writer Ben
We’ve reached half time then and it remains goalless between Bromley and Chesterfield. That’s probably not an unfair scoreline at this stage, as it’s been a reasonably even affair overall, however The Spireites may be slightly frustrated that they weren’t able to capitalise on a good spell of pressure in the opening 15 minutes or so. In many ways, this game is shaping up similarly to one against Wrexham, with Town having the majority of the play and the better chances, yet sometimes struggling to piece it together in the final third. As that game proved though, if you can keep applying the pressure, the real clear-cut chances will come your way. If James Rowe’s men can be a bit more ruthless in front of goal than they were last time out, there’s every chance they’ll be coming away with a vital victory. A big forty-five to come.
