As many as 40 players wore the Spireites shirt as James Rowe ripped up the squad in November following his appointment as manager.
And the changes paid off as Town went from relegation strugglers to promotion challengers.
Some of those who feature below did not make enough appearances to be accurately judged, while others were regulars and made a big impact.
Here is how Liam Norcliffe rated each player out of 10 this season...

17. Alex Whittle 7
Signed on a free from Gloucester in January. Had the left wing-back spot nailed down through March and April. Ended the season a little inconsistent but he was carrying a knock. Overall he has been another good signing. It will be a fascinating battle between him and Taylor next season. Photo: Rachel Atkins

18. Tyler Denton N/A
Signed by Pemberton. Made just two starts. Did not play under Rowe and left to joing King's Lynn Town. Photo: Rachel Atkins

19. Jamie Sharman N/A
Difficult to judge after just seven starts under Pemberton at the beginning of the season. The young centre-back looked like he had something to offer and he was playing in a struggling team. Did not play a single minute under Rowe and was loaned out to Blyth Spartans for the season but their campaign was curtailed. Photo: AHPIX

20. Curtis Weston 9
Had a slow start to the season but really found some form under Rowe. A regular starter and a consistent performer. Played through the pain barrier with his Achilles problem in the last month of the season. Definitely a player of the year contender. Signed a new contract in February. Photo: jason chadwick
