13. Chris McMenemy (1991-1993)
McMenemy had been Paul Hart's assistant and stepped in to replace him in 1991, but failed to produce any marked improvement with a 13th-place finish in his only full season, Spireites being 12th when he left the club in February 1993. Photo: JPIMedia
Duncan's second spell would provide many memorable moments. Promotion via the Division Three play-offs was secured in 1995 after a win over Bury at Wembley, then a memorable run to the FA Cup semi-finals in 1997 saw them eventually lose out to Middlesbrough after a replay. A series of top ten finishes in Division Two followed the promotion, but impending relegation in 2000 saw Duncan depart the club once more. Photo: JPIMedia
Law's task was to return Chesterfield to Division Two, which he did despite a nine-point deduction for financial irregularities. He would then leave for Bradford in January of the following year. Went on to manage Grimsby, Buxton and Alfreton, the latter two with great success, and is now involved in the youth setup at Burnley. Photo: JPIMedia
Rushbury was the club's physio before taking over from Law after a promising caretaker spell. However, things never truly gelled for Rushbury and he left the club in 2003. He's been involved with Matlock Town and Alfreton Town in recent years. Photo: JPIMedia
