There’s been another new manager installed at Chesterfield, with Paul Cook returning to the helm after the departure of James Rowe.
Cook is the 29th managerial appointment Chesterfield have made since the Second World War, and is the third man in that time to have been appointed twice after John Duncan and John Sheridan.
Here, we look at all of those who have managed Spireites since the war and what their impact was at the club.

17. Roy McFarland (2003-2007)
Faced with continuing financial problems, McFarland was still able to, just about, keep Chesterfield's place in Division Two/League One before eventually poor results saw him depart in November 2007. Photo: JPIMedia
Richardson was assistant to McFarland and took the reigns after impressing as caretaker. Although unable to stop relegation, he came close to guiding Chesterfield into the play-offs the following season but they ultimately just missed out and Richardson's contract wasn't renewed. Sheridan's first spell as boss also coincided with the club's move to their new stadium. He earned promotion to League One as champions in his second season, but despite a Football League Trophy win the following season Spireites were relegated back to League Two and Sheridan was sacked after a poor start to the new season. Cook arrived to replace Sheridan and took Chesterfield to eighth in the final standings, before then leading a memorable title campaign the following season. He'd then take Chesterfield to the League One play-offs where they'd lose out to Preston North End, with Cook soon departing for Portsmouth... Photo: JPIMedia
