The 28-year-old, who has joined on loan from Blackpool until the end of the season, became manager Rowe’s 13th new addition since being appointed on November 26.

The Spireites boss is confident they have got the recruitment right and the early signs of just one defeat in 11 games show that.

“I have got no plans to sign anybody else, I think that is the group we are going with,” Rowe told the DT.

“I think the turnover (in players) needed to happen, some people might say 13 additions is a lot but to average two points a game I think shows that we needed those changes.

“Hopefully we can continue the form to show why we made those decisions.”

When asked to assess the transfer business overall, Rowe said the signings have brought more ‘athleticism’ to the squad.

“I think we have got a better peak age, the age of the squad has come down, it was too high for the expansive way we want to play,” he explained. “We are running far more, our intensity is much better, our turnover in the final third is better, so yes we have got quite a few positive signs that the recruitment has been right and that is not forgetting the existing players who are part of the squad.”

Rowe also said that he wanted to bring in another striker regardless of Tom Denton’s injury but that the process quickened when it became apparent he was going to be out for a long time.

“We needed to recruit and Adi fits the profile that I like,” Rowe added.

“He is mobile, he is aggressive, I think he showed that in the game against us when playing Wrexham.

“I have studied his game and I know he has a good relationship with Akwasi (Asante) as well so hopefully they can link up but not forgetting we have got Marcus (Dinanga) as well.

“I think it gives us options, a lot of movement up there, a lot of athleticism between the three of them and that is not to say they can’t play as a three as well.”
