John’s unbeaten 76 isn’t enough to secure full victory for Roses CC

After losing the toss, the hosts were pitched in to bat first and piled on an impressive total of 235-5 in their allocated 46 overs.

Star of the show was John Tittley, who plundered 76 not out for Roses.

There was a sizeable knock from Ashley Clay, who fell a run short of a half-century.

Daniel Clay (35) and Thomas Lane (22) also contributed whilst skipper Andrew West was caught for 23.

In response, Glapwell saw John Donaldson top-score with 40 with five fours and a six included in his haul.

They eventually reached 133-5 with Lane posting figures of 3-28 for Roses who had to settle for a winning draw.
