Derbyshire traffic and travel: Delays on busy A50 and warnings after traffic light failure
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area
Drivers are being warned of delays on the busy A50, as well as traffic light failure on the A5250 this morning.
The AA is reporting slow traffic due to a road closure because of traffic light failure on the A5250 Burton Road Both ways at A5111 Manor Road.
Derbyshire Police have advised drivers to find alternative routes. They said: “Burton Road Derby is shut either side preventing traffic going straight over the crossroads and turning right. However there is still access to turn left on either side of the junction to allow vehicles onto Warwick Avenue/Manor Road.
“Please avoid the area and take alternative routes”
There are also reports of delays of four minutes and increasing on the A50 Eastbound between J1 B6540 Tamworth Road (Long Eaton) and M1 J24 (Nottingham South / East Midlands Airport). Average speed here is 15 mph.
