The North East Derbyshire petrol stations with no fuel left as panic buying drains pumps
Petrol stations across North East Derbyshire have seen a surge of motorists filling up their tanks in recent days – and many forecourts are running out of fuel fast.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has urged drivers to avoid panic buying petrol and instead advised them to “carry on as usual”.
Despite this, huge queues have formed outside petrol stations in North East Derbyshire over the past few days as motorists rush to fill up their tanks.
This has meant that petrol and diesel is now in short supply in some locations, with many being forced to close after running out of fuel entirely.
The Derbyshire Times has compiled a list of petrol stations across the county that have confirmed today (Monday, September 27) that they have either completely run out of fuel or have limits in place to ration supplies.
Although stock levels may vary and new deliveries could arrive, this will provide an indicator to the stations which ran out at some point on Monday so those needing to fill up can find an alterative location.
