Paramedics deal with incident in Chesterfield

A patient has been taken to hospital after a ‘medical emergency’ in Chesterfield today.

Eyewitness Christoper Thoel told the Derbyshire Times he saw three paramedics going into Chesterfield magistrates’ court in white suites.

“Two also had personal respirators,” he added.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 10.26am to Tapton Lane to assist with a medical emergency.

“We sent two paramedics in two ambulance cars and a crewed ambulance.

“We transported one patient to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.”
