Catholic masses in Chesterfield cancelled because of coronavirus

Catholic masses in Chesterfield will be halted amid the coronavirus crisis, it has been confirmed.

There will be no public acts of worship in any of the Catholic churches within the parish from this Friday night until further notice as the country takes steps to try and stop the spread of the virus.

There are three Catholic churches within the parish – Annunciation Church on Spencer Street, Holy Family Church on Derby Road and Holy Spirit Church in Dronfield.
