“Prevention of the spread of infection is essential. Therefore we would like to inform customers that Eyres of Chesterfield will be closing Poppy’s Café from March 18 and will evaluate the advice from Public Health England in 30 days.

“Our furniture store will remain open during normal business hours and we have introduced additional cleaning measures within our store to protect our customers and staff.

“These include an increased cleaning schedule of all high traffic services such as handles, doors, lift buttons, tables, chairs, computers, phones and furniture.

“We will also offer free of charge in-home consultation visits by appointment for interior design services, carpet fittings, curtain fittings and furniture enquiries.

“Steps we can all take to prevent the spread of infection include the washing of hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; using hand sanitizer if soap and water is not available; covering your mouth with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough or sneeze; avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.

“Remember, if you have been in contact with someone with confirmed coronavirus or are displaying any of the symptoms, please call the NHS on 111.”
