Helicopters scrambled to incident in stormy weather in Derbyshire

Two emergency helicopters were scrambled to Matlock Bath’s High Tor in stormy weather after reports of an accident involving walkers.

A Coastguard helicopter and a Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance chopper were called to the incident shortly before 4pm on Monday.

Land emergency services were also called.

No further information is available at this stage.

It’s the second drama in the High Tor area in days.

A walker who fell a ‘significant distance’ near High Tor on May 1 had to be rushed to hospital.
