Police were called to a road traffic collision in Beeley today (January 8) between two vehicles which left a Toyota Auris completely flipped over on the side of a road due to the icy conditions.

Derbyshire Constabulary urged drivers who are making essential journeys to check the weather forecast before setting off and to fully clear their windows and mirrors of ice.

Drivers have also been told to make sure their mobile is fully charged in case of emergencies and to anticipate that the condition of the roads will be different than normal due to snow, frost and ice.
