Chesterfield shoplifter remanded to prison following theft spate

A Chesterfield shoplifter has been charged and remanded to prison following a spate of thefts around the town.

John Lee Denwood, 52, appeared before Chesterfield magistrates this week charged with four counts of shoplifting and one count of theft of a bicycle.

Denwood, of Loundsley Green, was remanded into prison custody a further court appearance.
