9. Shuttle service
Craig said: “Because we’re remote, we have a unique shuttle service for groups of six or more. We have a 14-seat shuttle bus, so we can pick groups up if they’re coming to dine with us from Chesterfield.” Photo: Brian Eyre

10. Sunday roasts
Craig said: “Our Sunday lunch here is quite well-renowned, I think we’re the number one place on TripAdvisor locally. We also have an interactive darts room as well.” Photo: Brian Eyre

11. Centuries of history
The inn was established at the top of Pudding Pie Hill, which sits on the old Chesterfield to Baslow road, over 600 years ago. The building was presented to the monks of Beauchief Abbey in a license granted by Richard II in 1392. Photo: Brian Eyre

12. Meaning behind the pub’s name
The name Fox and Goose was derived from the ancient Viking board game - Fox & Geese - which the monks used to play at the inn. Photo: Brian Eyre
