Chesterfield Royal Hospital was caring for two patients with Covid-19 as of 3pm on Monday, officials have said.

At the same time last week, no coronavirus patients were being cared for at the Royal.

Earlier this year, the Royal was looking after around 70 Covid-19 patients at any one time.

Since the end of March this, 580 patients who tested positive for coronavirus were discharged home after care and treatment at the hospital.
