Company scoops packaging award

Glossop Cartons, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of carton board packaging, has scooped a manufacturing and technology award at this year’s Made in the North West Awards.

The Padfield-based firm raced ahead of the competition in a ceremony held at The Park Royal Hotel, Warrington, on Thursday.

The award recognised how the family-run company had seized a unique business opportunity, driving demand for digital cutting and creasing with its recent installation of the Highcon Euclid.

Jacky Sidebottom-Every, sales director at Glossop Cartons, said: “To be shortlisted was in itself a huge feat for us, and we were absolutely delighted to be named the winners in what was an incredibly tough category.
