Don’t miss out on NSO’s French concert

The concert gets under way at 7.30pm, will be conducted by Derek Williams, and features works by two contrasting but gifted French composers - Hector Berlioz and Claude Debussy.
The concert opens with Berlioz’s Le Corsaire Overture, followed by the peaceful sounds of Debussy’s Prelude De L’Apres-Mid D’Un Faun.

The other work in the concert will see NSO, who have been described by the Sunday Telegraph Magazine as “arguably the premier amateur orchestra in Britain,” teaming up with talented Australian soloist Ann Beilby.
She will be the viola soloist in Berlioz’s exciting, passionate work Harold In Italy.
