Matlock Area U3A hosts annual open afternoon
If you are no longer in full time employment, want to develop new interests or to continue learning with others, Matlock Area u3a could be for you.
Matlock Area u3a is holding its Annual Open Afternoon at the Imperial Rooms, Matlock on Tuesday September 22, to showcase its activities and to welcome new members.
Everyone is invited to join in for free refreshments and entertainment and to see what’s on offer.
If you are no longer in full time employment, want to develop new interests or to continue learning with others, Matlock Area u3a could be for you.
For just £10 per year you can join over 600 other members and have the opportunity to join any of almost 50 existing interest groups. These range from history to archaeology from bowls and walking to tap dancing and science fiction, French conversation and singing for pleasure.
See the website matlockareau3a.org.uk for more information. If your particular interest isn’t there, the group can ask members if anyone else is interested in setting up a new group. The latest additions were Pickleball and the Ukulele group, both of which were immediate hits.
The open event takes place at the Imperial Rooms, Matlock, on Tuesday September 22nd from 2pm to 4pm.
