Award-Winning bereavement support for Chesterfield
"I am passionate about ensuring that people in Chesterfield can access grief support that is meaningful, relevant and nurturing.”
Chesterfield support group Sunshine and Shade has been named winner of the Best Bereavement Support Group/Café category at the prestigious Good Funeral Guide Awards.

Rachel Snowball, Chesterfield Funeral celebrant and Founder of Sunshine and Shade, said: "As Sunshine and Shade celebrates its fifth birthday, I honestly couldn't have wished for a better present.
"This award is recognition of the journey we have travelled, the community we have built, and the many people who have supported us along the way. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a part, whether by attending a group, volunteering, sharing our work, or simply believing in the vision.

"This award gives us not only recognition, but also a platform to continue raising awareness of the importance of compassionate grief support. I fully intend to make the most of that opportunity as we prepare to launch our forthcoming book, Good Mourning: A Workbook for Grief, Healing and Hope, available to purchase in December from The Refillery, Market Street, Clay Cross and on line from https://www.bannisterpublications.com/bookstore
"I am passionate about ensuring that people in Chesterfield can access grief support that is meaningful, relevant and nurturing, support that honours both their loss and the enduring love they carry for those who have died."
Sunshine and Shade offers four peer support groups across the area and hosts regular workshops at B Hattersley Funeral Director on Chatsworth Road and Memoria Amber Valley Memorial Park and Crematorium.
