Harry Potter's Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade Station star in Chesterfield Railway Modellers' exhibition
The landmarks, inspired by the much-loved stories, have been created by Malcolm Wilkinson and will be on show at Eyre Chapel, Chesterfield, on September 18 and 19.
Group member Ken Clarke said: "Malcolm loves to build scenery, he has built Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade to create the Harry Potter world for youngsters he knows and it also lets his imagination run riot.

Hide Ad"Others of us have built layouts to recreate the scenes we remember as kids. I've built a large motive power depot (engine shed) as it would have been in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
"Some layouts have been built by groups of members. There is one of Hasland Loco Shed which was located to the south of Chesterfield and it shows the railway in the LMS and early British Rail eras. The club has a layout called Stonedale which is a modern era layout based in the Peak District it features a double track main line and terminal station together with a preservation society. Both of these are on permanent display at our clubroom in The Clock Tower at Barrow Hill. Our members use these layouts to run their locomotives and trains.
“Many folk look at us and say 'Oh, you're playing trains again'. Well, yes, but to build a model railway requires skills and knowledge.”
Ralway modellers need to know how the real thing works and how it looks in the era they are modelling, have skills in joinery, a knowledge of electrics and possess model-making and artistic skills.

Hide AdKen added: “Not many of us have all these skills so being in a model railway club like Chesterfield means a team of people with all these skills can be put together. It also means that if you are new to modelling you can join a model railway club and learn from others how to do all the things to build your layout.”
The exhibition at Eyre Chapel will be open from 10am to 5pm. Admission is £2 (adult), £1 (child), free for under 5s.
