Their explosive comeback has firmly re-established Lord Skaman and the Magnificent 7 as heavyweights of the region’s brass-infused Two Tone and traditional ska landscape.

The band bring their superb musicianship and infectious energy to Real Time Live on November 21 where they will showcase the talent which earned them the Derbyshire Times Band of the Year title in 1991.

Originally formed in the late Eighties, Lord Skaman and the Magnificent 7 built a fierce reputation across the UK and the Netherlands. They reached a career milestone in 1994 with the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, Too Good to be True, featuring standout original tracks like Educating Rita and The Trojan March.

The group split in the early 2000s but decided to reunite in 2024 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their album.

Drummer Paul Hickman said: “After the success of our 30th anniversary reunion, we realised the magic was still very much alive. We just couldn’t stop there. We’ve added some fresh elements to the set and we can’t wait to throw the ultimate ska party for our home crowd.”

Trademark driving basslines, and sharp horn sections will feature in a high-octane set of deep-cut original classics alongside crowd-pleasing ska twists on iconic anthems.
