Chesterfield's Proact Stadium is to host the FA Women's Premier League Cup final on Sunday, April 29 (kick-off 2 pm).

The match will be between Leicester City and Blackbun Rovers, who currently sit second and fifth respectively in the Northern Division of the league.

Tickets are priced £5 for adults, which includes a match programme, £2.50 for concessions and £1 for children. It’s free for under-threes.

League chairman Carol West said: “The Proact Stadium is a fitting platform for our showcase cup final.

“The FA Women’s Premier League Cup is an institution, and I know that both Leicester and Blackburn will more than do it justice.

“Both clubs are worthy finalists after very hard-fought campaigns and I’m sure both will be determined to lift the cup and have their name etched into this competition’s long and distinguished history.”

Leicester manager Jonathan Morgan said: “To reach our first national final is a fantastic achievement for everyone at the club. We are thoroughly looking forward to the challenge.”

Blackburn boss Gemma Donnelly said: “This is the first senior league cup final Blackburn have reached in the history of the ladies’ team. We are extremely proud and excited, and will enjoy the experience.”
