Remembrance Day respects paid ahead of Chesterfield v Crewe
Fans and players paid their respects ahead of Chesterfield’s game with Crewe at the weekend as part of the annual Remembrance Day commemorations.
Spireites chose the home game – which they went on to win 5-1 – to mark the occasion ahead of the official day of tribute on 11 November.
It saw a moving tribute paid as the stadium fell silent with both sets of fans showing their respect for the nation’s fallen.
Captains Tom Naylor and Lewis Billington also came together moments before kick-off to lay a poppy wreath.
