Midfield man Josh Benson continues working with Chesterfield
Summer trialist Josh Benson is still involved with Chesterfield and continues to train with the club.
Manager Paul Cook and his staff have taken a good look at the 26-year-old midfielder in a series of pre-season friendlies after his release from Rotherham United this summer.

The fact he wasn’t involved in last week’s final run-out against Scunthorpe might have suggested his days with the Spireites were numbered, but the former Barnsley man is still part of the group.
“He is back training with us,” confirmed assistant manager Danny Webb. "He is a good footballer and I don’t think we’ve seen the absolute best of him.
"His pedigree is very very strong and he is training with us and we are continuing to look at him and he continues to keep fit, so everybody wins at the minute.
"He certainly hasn’t signed anything with us at the moment, that’s for sure.”
With ten signings completed this summer, Chesterfield are at or certainly very near a "full house” of players although plenty can happen between now and the closure of the summer transfer window.
They are monitoring the fitness of goalkeeper Zach Hemming and outfielders like Lewis Gordon, Dylan Duffy, Tom Pearce, Malik Owalabi-Belewu and Will Dickson, who are all at different stages of recovery from injuries. Dickson faces the longest spell out.
Chesterfield released 11 players at the end of last season and numbers were further trimmed by the departure of Armando Dobra to Leyton Orient.
The window closes on August 31.
