Sam Curtis gave the Spireites the lead on 16 minutes when Liam Mandeville’s corner was flicked on by Sil Swinkels and the on-loan Sheffield United man finished from close-range at the back post.
Town had other chances to extend their lead, while also never looking in any real danger, and they secured the victory to stretch their unbeaten run to five and move back into the play-offs.
Here are our player ratings from the game...

9. Liam Mandeville 7
It was his corner which was flicked on by Swinkels to open the scoring. Changed play intelligently and smoothed things out in tight space when the ball was bobbling around. Great link-up play at times. Given a rest on the hour. Photo: Brian Eyre

10. Armando Dobra 6
Ruffled a few feathers and was on the end of several fouls. Should he have had a penalty midway through the first-half when Smith lunged in? He and the Blues bench were adamant it was a spot-kick. Had a couple of attacking openings but didn't make the most of them. Replaced on the hour. Photo: Tina Jenner

11. Will Grigg 6
Chased lost causes and spent most of the first-half in a headlock by Beckles who must have wanted the shirt off his back. Fed off scraps but never stopped working. Photo: Brian Eyre

12. Tom Naylor 6
On for Mandeville on the hour and immediately had one cleared off the line...but was it by a hand? Naylor was convinced it was. Photo: Brian Eyre
