Dents also played against Matlock Town in the following match but has been sidelined since after suffering a ‘pretty big setback’, manager James Rowe said.
The striker has been to see a specialist and Rowe confirmed after Saturday’s in against Grimsby that he will go under the knife today (Monday).
“We won’t know any more until he opens the knee up,” Rowe told the DT.
“Obviously we have got our fingers crossed for Tom.”
