Chesterfield are due back in pre-season training in just over a week ahead of the big kick-off on August 10.
Five new players have come through the door, and no doubt others will follow, but let’s take a look at how Town could line-up on the opening day as things stand...
9. Paddy Madden - CAM
Another big name signing. The soundings seem to be that he is more of a '10' now rather than an out-and-out striker so we could see him play a slightly deeper role but he will still bring plenty of goals and assists. Photo: Tina Jenner
10. Armando Dobra - LW
Dobra says his favourite position is off the left so with him, Colclough and Berry all vying for the same spot then Chesterfield have got some real quality and depth in this department. Photo: Catherine Ivill
11. Will Grigg - ST
Grigg played the lone striker so intelligently last season, notching 25 goals along the way. He missed the final few games with a hamstring injury and he has been working hard all summer to get himself back fit. Photo: Tina Jenner
