Chesterfield are due back in pre-season training in just over a week ahead of the big kick-off on August 10.
Five new players have come through the door, and no doubt others will follow, but let’s take a look at how Town could line-up on the opening day as things stand...
5. Lewis Gordon - LB

6. Tim Akinola - CM
His return came out of the blue but it was a welcome one. He will bring lots of energy and aggression to the middle of the park and he has the potential to be moulded into a very good holding midfielder. Photo: Tina Jenner
7. Tom Naylor - CM
Chesterfield's Player of the Year had his best scoring season of his career but the suggestion is that the Spireites will be aiming to be tighter defensively as a team so he could revert back to being a 'holder' alongside Akinola. Photo: Tina Jenner
