Chesterfield issue important update on season tickets

Chesterfield has confirmed that no season tickets will be sold this year due to the uncertainty of the pandemic.

The club has said more information about how many fans will be allowed entry into the Technique Stadium on matchdays this season will be available in the next few days.

The National League season gets underway on Saturday, October 3.

In a statement the club said: “Discussions have been taking place with the Safety Advisory Group regarding the provision of tickets for matches played at the Technique Stadium during the forthcoming season.

“Various Covid safety procedures will have to be put into effect, including reducing the capacity significantly in order to allow social distancing.

“Please be assured that every effort is being made by the club to try and achieve the largest capacity possible, consistent with all the Covid safety advice, while ensuring supporters feel comfortable and safe when attending the stadium on matchdays.

“After taking various factors into account, including advice from the National League, please note that season tickets will not be sold this season.

“Supporters who were season ticket holders last season can be assured that they will be given priority for the purchase of matchday tickets this season.

“The issue relating to season ticket holders missing out on matches which were cancelled towards the end of last season will be addressed when season tickets go back on sale.

“We hope to be in a position to provide further information relating to matchday attendance and ticketing early next week.”
