At the moment it is not known which teams will make up the division as the Football League is appealing a decision to only deduct Macclesfield Town two points for failing to pay their players on time in March.

If the Football League win their appeal and Macclesfield are deducted more points then it will be the Silkmen who are relegated to the National League and not Stevenage, who finished one place and one point behind them in the League Two table.

The appeal hearing was taking place when the DT went to press.

The season is scheduled to start on October 3 and it is hoped clubs will be allowed to let some fans into stadiums.

Chesterfield’s last league match was at Dover Athletic on March 13 and it will be 203 days before their next one when the new season gets underway.
