However, the National League will continue.

Rowe said: “I need to catch up with our board because we are very much aligned here. It is not a dictatorship, I don’t make every decision in the club. We have a method of how we work and I work closely with John (Croot) on a day-to-day basis.

“I need to catch up with John when we get a chance to see how the ground lies for us. Are there options for the players who are currently furloughed? Could they go out and play some football? If they can then we would never stop them from doing that.

“It opens up, not just for us but clubs in our division, to maybe take the better players in the two (leagues) below on loan. It has thrown up some new anomalies in both ways, players going out, players coming in.”

When asked how likely any more transfer business is at Chesterfield, the Blues boss added: “Not at the moment, I am really happy with what I have got but like I have always said if there is a player who can improve us and he is the right character to fit into the culture we are building then I am always interested.”
