Alfreton Town defeat FC United of Manchester in front of over 3,000

Alfreton Town were 3-1 winners over FC United of Manchester today.

In front of over 3,300, Nicky LAw’s men found themselves a goal down at the break, after Sam Madeley’s goal in first half injury time.

But the Reds roared back in the second half.

Lindon Meikle levelled just past the hour mark, and eight minutes later Sam Jones put Alfreton ahead.

The win was sealed late on, Dan Bradley finishing after Jamie Jackson was denied by the keeper.

Luke Ashworth of the hosts was then sent off.
