Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law urges players to keep feet on ground
The Reds boss saw his side reach the semi-finals of the Derbyshire Senior Cup for the first time since the 2012/13 campaign on Tuesday night with a comprehensive 6-0 home win over Long Eaton United.
Alfreton were too strong for their Midland Football League Premier Division visitors with a Sam Jones hat-trick leading the way and taking his tally from midfield to eleven already this season. Jordan Robertson added one and a late Jamie Jackson brace wrapped up a resounding win.

“I am pleased with the result against Long Eaton. It is always difficult to raise your game against lower league opposition so credit where it’s due to our lads,” said Law.
“We have a couple of very tough league games coming up now though and I want us to keep firmly focused on keeping our four-game unbeaten run in the league going and trying to carry on our progress up the league table.
“That will only happen if we maintain the hard work and desire we have put in over the last few weeks though.”

Hide AdAlfreton Town Football Club is running another of it’s hugely popular soccer camps at the Impact Arena during the forthcoming February half-term school holidays.
The camp will be three days long and will run from 9.30am to 3pm each day on Monday, February 15th, Tuesday, February 16th and Wednesday, February 17th inclusive.
Alfreton Town have launched this event again to give back to the local community. This is a great opportunity for the kids to develop their football skills and to also have fun playing games together, which will have a strong learning aspect to them, which will allow them to learn new skills in a fun and different way.
The course focus will be on tackling, heading, marking, dribbling and match play and is open to boys and girls aged between five and thirteen years of age.
