Alfreton boxer becomes Derbyshire’s first female Haringey Gold Box Cup champion

The prestigious international amateur championship takes place over three days and is one of the most recognised and gruelling championships in which boxers have to fight each day.

Jess, 24, is already an ABA national champion, Midlands area and Derbyshire champion but unfortunately sufferd a serious hand injurt that put her put her out of action for a year.

Fighting for Chesterfield ABC at the event, she showed her skill and determination to overcome tough opposition and join the likes of Olympic champion Nicola Adams as a Haringey winner.
