Traffic building on M1 in Derbyshire after broken down vehicle causes delays

Traffic monitoring site Inrix has reported that traffic is building on the M1 northbound, after a broken down vehicle forced the closure of a lane.

The affected area is between J28, which links the motorway to the A38 between Alfreton and Mansfield, and J29, which connects with the A617 between Chesterfield and Mansfield.

There is currently no indication as to how long the closure will remain in place, or when traffic conditions will return to normal.
